A 51-year-old woman was arrested and charged with attacking a man in Main Street, Campbeltown, at about 5pm on Friday September 9. She was also charged with racially abusing one of the officers and assaulting both of them.
Women assaulted
A 36-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting two other women in Cross Street, Campbeltown, at about 12.45am on Sunday September 11.
Resisting arrest
Officers on patrol in Cross Street, Campbeltown, at about 1.30am on Sunday September 11, encountered an 18-year-old man causing a disturbance.
Upon police engagement, the man was allegedly abusive and threatening, using homophobic language, and ran away following being arrested.
When being detained, the man allegedly resisted arrest and spat on one officer, and was subsequently found in possession of cannabis.
He has been charged with the above offences.
During this incident, a large group of people allegedly tried to obstruct officers arresting the man, encircling them and acting in a threatening manner towards them.
Three of this group have been identified and have received recorded police warnings for their actions.
Police are looking to identify any other participants in this crowd and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information on this, or any incident, to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or attend Campbeltown Police Station.
