Shoplifting

A 45-year-old woman has been charged with shoplifting and issued with a recorded police warning after a number of items were taken from open display and the suspect failed to pay for them at 11.45am on Tuesday September 24 at Riverside Filling Station, Lochgilphead.

Theft

It has been reported that between 11am and 11.30am on Wednesday September 25 at RSPB Scotland, Aoradh, Killinallan Road, Gruinart, Islay, a window to a hide has been opened and a pair of binoculars stolen from within. Threatening behaviour

It has been alleged that a man was threatening and abusive towards a female shouting and swearing between 12.30am and 2.45pm on Wednesday September 25 at Bruichladdich. A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with the offence and held in police custody to appear at court the following day.

Domestic abuse

During this past week, for the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Isles area, Police Scotland received one report of theft, one of threatening and abusive behaviour, three reports of assault and one breach of bail. This led to two women and four men being arrested. All parties were charged, with three released upon undertaking to appear at court and three kept to present before the next available court. Police Scotland remains committed to tackling offenders of domestic abuse and reducing the level of it in communities.
