At 2.15pm on Thursday August 8, at the old Argyll & Bute Hospital, Blarbuie, Lochgilphead, four youths (two female and two males) knocked over a security camera before stealing a fire extinguisher.

Police were alerted a road traffic collision on the A83 near Castleton at 8am on Sunday August 11. The male driver of the vehicle was breathalysed, which he allegedly failed. He was arrested and taken back to Lochgilphead Police Station, where an evidential sample of breath was taken, which he allegedly failed again, being over twice the legal limit. The 40-year-old was charged and a case has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Police on patrol on the A83 at Inveraray, on Saturday August 10 at 6.30pm, stopped a grey Vauxhall Corsa and search the male driver and car under the Misuse of Drugs Act. It is alleged that a small quantity of cannabis was recovered and the 34-year-old man presented as being under the influence of drugs. He was arrested, evidential blood samples obtained and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Officers on patrol on Wallace Way, Lochgilphead, at 9.50pm on Wednesday August 7, had cause to stop and search a man under Misuse of Drugs Act powers. It is alleged that during this search, 2.4g of Cannabis was located and the 36-year-old was charged and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
During this past week, for the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Isles area, Police Scotland had one report of breach of bail and one report of stalking. One man was arrested, and has been kept in custody to present before the next available court. The stalking case is still under evidential review for next steps. Police Scotland remains committed to tackling offenders of Domestic Abuse and reducing the level of it in communities.
