Oban Train Station car park is to see its parking charges increase.
It currently costs just £3 for 24-hour parking in the station car park, but this will increase to a £12 tariff for up to 12 hours - and £24 for every 24 hours thereafter.
However, the parking remains free for rail passengers upon providing a valid rail ticket concurrent with the period of parking as consistent with ScotRail policies. It is also still free to perform a 30-minute pick-up/drop off.
ScotRail say the price rise is part of the company’s Locality Pricing Pilot, which seeks to bring station parking prices in line with other local prices.
Most, but not all, local prices are currently consistent with a pound per hour rate outside of multi-day parking plans.
The changes will come into force next week, on Monday August 5.
