Parents, staff and community members had old photos on display in the original school, which was in St Mary’s Church Hall, and in the present building. Everyone enjoyed viewing the old photos and hearing about the life of the old school from George Grant who gave an account of his education in Glencoe in the 1940s prior to the new school opening in 1969.
Current Glencoe Primary School pupils entertained the community and guests with a song before the cutting of a special cake to mark the anniversary.
The event was a great success with the support of families, staff and community members joining in the celebrations, sharing old photos and memories of the school and providing baking and refreshments.
