Fort William Reserves 4
WHAFL
A spirited second half display saved face for the Fort William Reserves in an 8-4 victory for Skye’s Kyleakin Football Club.
Second half goals from Davie Neil, Ruirdh Macdonald and Blair Hamilton added a veneer of respectability. However, the Lochaber men found themselves five nil down on 44 minutes. Liam Gilchrist pulled one back just before the half time whistle.
Especially in the first half, it appeared every time Kyleakin went forward the ball ended up in the back of the net.
A team spokesman said: “We created a lot more in the second half but we were never going to overturn the damage done in the first 45 minutes.”
