Resurfacing work on the A828 south of Appin is due to begin on Wednesday November 6 and will run until the morning of Thursday November 14.
There will be overnight closures, but there will be no works on Friday or Saturday nights.
The work will address deteriorating road surface conditions and improve road markings.
Works will be carried out between 7pm and 6am each night. Outwith these hours traffic management will be removed, however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Due to restricted road widths through this section of the A828, this section of the carriageway will be closed in both directions during overnight works to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public.
Amnesties will allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12pm, 2am and 4am. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the working period.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users as well as upgrading road markings to enhance road safety.
“We thank road users for their patience ahead of these road improvements.”
