It was North Argyll Cycle Club's (NACC) second time trial (TT) of the season, with 24 riders setting off at intervals along a 10.5 mile route on Thursday May 4.
In the men's category, Scottish Student Time Trial Champion Mattis Robertson was fastest with a time of 24.13, while Alison Roger was first women home in 28.41.
Derek Shanks, 26.03, and Ewen MacGillivray, 26.35, also got on the podium behind Robertson and Michael Bossard was the fastest rider on an ordinary road bike, finishing in 28.09.
In the women's category, Heather Shanks ,28.55, finished second, continuing her strong form after placing third in last month's Alba National Women’s Road Race Series race and Shona Maclachlan, 34.25, was third.
NACC's Iain MacDonald said: "Well done to all the newcomers who recorded excellent times. It was great to see such a good turnout. Thank you for registering in advance which made the evening run smoothly."
It was another strong ride from Robertson, with the Barcaldine native now riding for the UK youth and development team, Ribble rechrg Racing Team, having trained with them in Spain and Belgium earlier this year.
Derek Shanks also performed strongly, using his new rear disc wheel to his advantage in the strong winds last Thursday, while Barcaldine's Ewen MacGillivary was racing in his first TT for more than three years.
Another NACC rider, Steven Groom, said: "Well done to Ewen for putting on a strong ride. It was good to see him back. We were also pleased to see new riders taking part in the main TT after our recent beginners TT taster.
"Thanks to Iain MacDonald for doing the timing. He wasn't able to ride following a recent running injury but we will hopefully have him back ready for the next TT on Thursday June 1."
This next TT will start at Connel Bridge, with riders racing the clock on a 25 mile route.
