Played in Fort William on a very, very wet Saturday May 12, 1973, underdogs GMA and their supporters travelled the A82 to take on the mighty Kingussie.
Against all odds GMA won 4-2 and the team celebrated its win in the Alexandra that night.

On Saturday surviving members of the team along with family and supporters made the journey once more to celebrate with a meal, a few drinks and many stories of the day and GMA over the years.
Organisers even tracked down some of the sponsors from the original match programme who are still going strong in Fort William.
"It’s 100 years since GMA were formed and celebrating this fantastic achievement was so important," said Mairi Milne, whose father Iain McMillan was the captain on the day.
Players travelled from all the world to attend last Saturday's celebration, including two from Australia. Iain's son Alan McMillan conducted proceedings and the gathering enjoyed memories from Hugh Dan McLennan, Alan Keating-player in the final and John MacKenzie, chieftain of the Camanachd Association.
