Nan, aged 90, and her daughter June Findlay celebrated her silver anniversary with staff and residents of the care home which sits between Shore Street and Hall Street, overlooking Campbeltown Loch.
Everyone enjoyed music, a buffet, games and lots of laughter. Nan requested a good old game of pass the parcel which the children of care home staff, most of whom have grown up visiting Nan and her fellow residents over the years, were happy to play.
Nan was over the moon to learn that she is now the third longest residing resident in a home owned by HC-One, Britain's largest care home operator, with more than 275 care homes across England, Scotland and Wales specialising in dementia, nursing and residential care for older people.
June says that it is because of all the love and dedicated care by the many staff over her mum’s 25-year stay at Kintyre Care Home that they have had so many years of fun and laughter that they never thought they would have.
