Round Two of the West Argyll Bowling League took place on the Lochgilphead green on Saturday, with Ardrishaig coming out on top on the day.
Playing in brilliant conditions, the pace of the green got faster as they day went on resulting in some exciting matches across the board.
Despite losing two of their three games the hosts are only one place below Ardrishaig on the league table thanks to a sizzling 22-10 victory over the leaders for Craig Bruce’s triple.
After being 10 down at one point in their game against Tarbert, Scott Gargan’s team pulled themselves back to 17-19, while the Colin MacInness trio were just edged out 9-10 by table props Oban.
Two matches in and Ardrishaig are sitting pretty at the top on eight points (+12) with Lochgilphead in second place on six points (+16). Tarbert are also on six points with a +5 shots difference while Oban are bottom with four points (-31).
Still plenty to play for as the League moves onto Oban this Saturday.
