Thanks to events generously supported by parents and friends of the village school, more than 250 new books have now restocked the reading shelves.
Hundreds of pounds also came in from Melfort businesses which added to the £885 raised by the school and its supporters.

A summer-time reading challenge was just one of the money-making events organised at the school, boosted by £400 donated from The Melfort Club, Melfort Pier & Harbour and the Loch Melford Hotel, taking the grand total up to £1,285.
The money was spent on a book order with Usborne Books who then upped the fantastic achievement by donating extra books worth another 60 per cent of what the school and businesses had raised.
Now the library shelves have something for all 29 pupils on the school register, aged three to 11, to fire up their imaginations or feed their knowledge.
Rhoda Harper, who works as an independent partner with Usborne Books, said: 'I was delighted to support the school, especially one that has quite a small pupil roll.
'It just goes to show what can be achieved when you get everyone, including local businesses, working together. They raised a phenomenal amount.
'It's been great to come and visit the classes to see what a difference the new books have made. It's wonderful how excited the children are to get their hands on the books and to start reading them!'
