LiveArgyll is delighted to be offering holiday activity camps for primary school-aged children.
From July 12 to 16, children can attend the multi-activity camp at Mid Argyll Sports Centre, which will include indoor and outdoor sports, games and crafts.
There is also a football camp running from August 9 to 13. This camp will help the development of physical, literacy and basic skills through football and will be delivered through game-based activities focusing on agility, balance, speed and co-ordination. Sessions will also include movement skills and technical and tactical components, all in a safe and fun environment.
Visit liveargyll.co.uk/holiday-programmes-2 for more information and to book.
Fitness fanatics can keep in shape with extended summer opening hours throughout the week at Mid Argyll Sports Centre and a range of fitness classes, from kettlebell classes to torque (indoor cycling) and high intensity interval training.
As part of liveArgyll's commitment to the health and well-being of communities, the charity is offering affordable leisure memberships, inclusive of gym, swim and fitness classes, with single and family options available. The charity is also running a free pass scheme allowing non-members to try before they buy and experience a free fitness class of their choosing, a gym induction or a free gym or swim session.
Lochgilphead library has re-opened with amended opening hours of Monday 1pm to 4pm and Friday 10am to 1pm. It is also offering a click-and-collect service, where library users can order up to five books. You can use this service by visiting liveargyll.co.uk/liveargyll-click-and-collect. Archive and local study sections will remain on hold due to the current national restrictions.
Tarbert library is also open Tuesday 3pm to 6pm and Thursday 10am to 1pm.
Liveargyll is awaiting guidance from the Scottish Government on when event and community venues can re-open but already has dates provisionally in the diary including Tidelines concerts and viral sensation Gary Meikle.
