The new Taynuilt Community Choir sung their hearts out during their first public performance over the weekend, entertaining the residents of Etive House Care Home in Benderloch.
The 70 strong choir only formed six weeks ago, but you could be forgiven for mistaking that period for six years.
A well put together performance completed by gripping solos had the residents of Etive House singing along and bouncing in their seats.
Staff and audience alike could not believe it all came together in such a short timeframe.
Conductor Stephen Williams said that the performance surpassed his expectations, especially the incredible emotional range of the singers.
He said: "It was lovely to hear the residents taking part and responding. Music speaks in a special way to people with dementia, it’s great to do this for them.
"It’s really important to continue to do concerts in the community, we’re hoping to do more traditional concerts in the near future."
Taynuilt Community Choir will host its next concert in Taynuilt Village Hall on May 17.
Joining is always encouraged, the choir prides itself on being for everyone, even those who think they cannot sing. Because everyone can, the only thing stopping you, is you!
Stephen Williams and accompanist Miriam Harden will be in action again on Saturday March 29 at the St Conans Kirk Community Singing Day from 1pm - 4pm. The event is free and no booking is required.
They’ll be singing songs for Spring including The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun, Ye Banks and Braes and You Are My Sunshine.
