A 19-year-old Fort William youth has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on a charge of murder.
Dominiks Andrejevs is accused of repeatedly stabbing 25-year-old Ben Campbell on the body with a knife at his home in Grange Road, Fort William, on Thursday, November 7.
He was also charged with stealing a bottle of wine from the Spar Shop in Grange Road on the same date.
Andrejevs made no plea, was committed for further examination and defence solicitor advocate Clare Russell made no application for bail.
Sheriff Gary Aitken remanded the teenager in custody for his next appearance, scheduled within the next eight days.
