Tesco have recalled a popular brand of beer amid fears pieces of glass could be present within the drink.
Newcastle Brown Ale bottles sized 550ml are affected with a Best Before date code of 30/11/25. Batch Codes: L4321, L4322, L4323, L4324, L4325 are L4326 impacted.
Consumers in possession of affected bottles should not consume them and instead return the unopened bottles to Tesco, Heineken said.
A spokesperson for the firm added: "Safety is our top priority, and on the basis that a small number of bottles are impacted by this potential safety issue, we are recalling this run of glass bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale as a precaution.
"We urge those consumers in possession of the product not to drink it, but to return the unopened bottles to where they purchased them for a refund.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
A Tesco spokesperson added: "Heineken UK are recalling specific batches of their Newcastle Brown Ale Bottle 550ml, due to the potential presence of small fragments of glass. This may pose a risk, if consumed."
