This Saturday, June 29, at Cil Andreis playing field in Tarbert, sees the third Duncan ‘TT’ MacDougall Memorial charity event take place.
As usual there is a terrific entry again with 13 men’s teams and three women’s teams taking part. Teams are split into four sections with the winners making up the semi-final spots and the top two from each group will go through to the final.
The grass park will be split into two and the Astro pitch will make up the other park.
The competition kicks off at 12pm sharp and is expecting to finish after 4pm with the presentation taking place in Tarbert Bowling Club at 5pm.
Tarbert Soccer Centre will be on hand to provide food for those attending.
This year’s chosen charity is Beatson Cancer so if attending, people are asked to please give generously.
There will be no parking available at the park so please use the car park at the school.
A stalwart of Tarbert AFC, Duncan MacDougall was the skipper of the prawn fishing vessel Nancy Glen TT100 which tragically sank on January 18 2018 in Loch Fyne. Duncan and crew man Przemek Krawczyk both lost their lives.
The Duncan ‘TT’ MacDougall memorial charity event was first played, with 15 teams taking part, in 2022, when it was won by Camertoon, a team of Kintyre players.
It was won last year by a team from Carradale.
