Three special bottles of Bowmore whisky are going up for auction online - and each one is expected to fetch a five-figure sum.
A bottle of 42 -year-old Black Bowmore, at an estimate of 14,000-18,000 Euros; a bottle of 1964 White Bowmore, estimated at 13,000-16,000 Euros and a 1964 bottle of Gold Bowmore, estimated at 12,000-15,000 Euros - all in their original presentation boxes - are running in the online Bonhams’ sale in Paris, which is open until February 13.
A total of 63 lots are available in the auction, including a 50-year-old bottle of Springbank, which was distilled in 1919 and bottled in the early 1970s. It is one of the oldest and rarest whiskies ever to be released by the Campbeltown distillery.
Clément Gaillard, Bonhams whisky specialist, said: “It’s a connoisseur’s dream to be offering some very special and sought-after bottles in this sale.
“At the forefront of the offering, the Black Bowmore is a milestone in whisky history and its White and Gold siblings offer a fascinating overview of the distillery’s golden era.”
