An Oban golf club is appealing for the return of turf stolen during works to relay a new green.
Glencruitten Golf Club is currently redesigning the 8th green on its 18-hole course.
A lorry load of new turf was delivered to the car park around 1pm on March 18, ready to be trailered up to the site - but by 3.45pm 12 bales had gone missing.
Club secretary John Tannahill said committee members are in possession of CCTV and screenshots of a person who "helped themselves" to the turf and loaded the bales into a car.
He added: "It is quite brazen to drive into the car park, help yourself to property and drive off. The whole club are disgusted somebody would do that."
The committee also posted an appeal on social media on March 22 calling for the thief to return the stolen goods.
It said: "We have screenshots of the theft of a number of bales of turf stolen from the car park at the golf club earlier in the week. If the ’individual’ concerned comes forward now then we will not pursue this with the police."
