Walking from Tolsta to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Uilly chose to get behind The Leanne Fund which was set up in memory of his late friend Leanne Mitchell.
He said: 'The Leanne Fund does so much for children and families affected and living with Cystic Fibrosis.
'I knew Leanne well from her time with Lewis Pipe Band. She was always smiling, always the life and soul of the band hall and always a great friend.'
Chrisetta Mitchell, development manager of The Leanne Fund, said: 'We’re so touched that Uilleam took on this challenge in memory of Leanne.
'We realise how busy he is with the overwhelming success of the band and are grateful he sacrificed a weekend to walk for the fund.'
