It’s been a wild and windy morning as Storm Éowyn makes its presence known.
The Met Office has warned of the possibility of 100 mile per hour winds as the storm blows through today.
A rare red weather warning for danger to life has seen shops and schools close, all trains and ferries in the country cancelled, and streets deserted as people stay safe indoors.
Disruptions to power, phone service, and internet are likely, and there is a warning in place concerning falling debris.
The warning is only in effect from 10am, but already in the earlier hours the weather was getting wild, as seen in the above video.
We will bring you more clips from the days events as they unfold, so stay tuned.
A reminder for today to only go outside and/or travel if absolutely necessary.
