Some of Kintyre’s top health and wellbeing gurus have teamed up to help support a struggling local charity.
Organisers of a ‘Kintyre Health and Wellbeing Experience’ on Sunday October 20 say that, in exchange for donations to Shopper-Aide, people will be left feeling “relaxed, restored and rejuvenated” after immersing themselves in “a glorious day of mindful movement and relaxation” at Machrihanish Airbase Community Company Business Park.
The event will feature: hatha yoga with Elaine McGeachy – helping you feel delightful; mindful pilates with Leone Shaw Tulloch – a flowing and thoughtful experience tapping into how your body moves and feels, in the present moment, expect to feel refreshed, relaxed and calm; reiki meditation with Morven Beagan – clearing energy then using intent and breath work to relax and restore energy; neck and shoulder massage with Margaret Nimmo – ease tension and relax your muscles, learn neck and shoulder massage and then time for practice; sound bath with Michael Wintle-Brown – listening to the sound of harmonic vibrations created by singing bowls, gongs, and chimes can be a meditative, peaceful, and restful experience, and help you into a relaxed state.
The suggested minimum donation for the day is £50, with all donations going to Shopper-Aide, which recently revealed it faced collapse because of a lack of funding.
Half-day places may be available, with final timings to be announced before the event.
