New to Argyll Wellbeing Hub for 2025 are more weekly walks and a health-boosting Real Food Course in Oban.
The free of charge 10-week programme to improve health by using a low carbohydrate diet along with other lifestyle changes, starts in January.
The course, which will be on a Wednesday evening at the hub’s Breadalbane Street base, is happening in collaboration with registered health coach Moira Newiss and is being funded through the ALLIANCE Self-management fund.
You can book a place by emailing obanrealfood@gmail.com
This is an opportunity for people to improve their health if they have a chronic health condition such as Type2 diabetes to rheumatoid arthritis, IBS to anxiety, Parkinson’s to schizophrenia, say organisers.

In the run up to Christmas, groups and activities at the Argyll Wellbeing Hub were continuing as usual to keep giving people who need it as much support as possible.
Weekly groups currently are Mondays 7pm to 9pm Men’s Peer Support Group, Tuesdays 10am to 11am wellbeing walking group, Tuesdays 7pm to 9pm women’s peer support group, Fridays 10am to 11am wellbeing walking group and also on Fridays from 12.30pm to 2.30pm there is the acupuncture community clinic.
