Last Saturday the fourth round of the Tarbert Golf Club’s winter league took place at Glenralloch in pleasant overhead conditions, although it was a bit damp underfoot.
The winter greens make it quite interesting, especially at the 7th where the pin position caused everyone problems.
Those playing managed to see the funny side; just enjoying being out in the fresh air and playing some golf was the members’ take on things.
Some decent golf was played, with Bruce MacNab taking first place on the day with 34 points, followed by Iain Macalister on 31.
It was the first outing of the season from Iain MacArthur, with a new driver in hand; let’s say things didn’t quite go to plan and said driver may appear on some For Sale portals.
Typically he regaled the members with some jokes to keep everyone amused - a reminder not to take the golf too seriously!
