Senior and junior athletes took to the great outdoors last Sunday, November 3, when Lochaber Athletic Club (LAC) kicked-off its winter league campaigns.
LAC juniors also enjoyed a record entry of 28 in the first race of their winter league - Braveheart.
This was the first race for half the runners and they seemed to enjoy it.
The Under 11 Boys age group included runners from six to 10 years old. Alistair Cant continued his fine form with a time of 8.24 minutes for the 1.5k course, with Tavish Drysdale in second and Seumas Simpson third.
In the Under 11 Girls race Iona Rodgers was first in 9.10 minutes; 2 Jemima French; 3 Fionn Wallace.
Under 13 Boys, 3k: 1 Toby Smith, 13.16; 2 Jethro Murray; 3 Calum Watt.
Under 13 Girls: 1 Lily Cant, 12.26, 2 Carys Rodgers.
Under 15 Boys (4k): 1 David Rodgers, 15.48; 2 Archie MacDonald.
Under 15 Girls: 1 Maisy Gorman, 18.34; 2 Lia Marsh.
Under 17 Girls (5km): 1 Isla Cant, 25.25; 2 Ava Marsh.
"Well done to all the runners. And thanks to the supporters for cheering and to the marshalls and timekeepers," said an LAC juniors spokesperson.
The next Winter League race for the junior athletes is on December 1 at Nevis Range.
Training continues on Thursdays from 6pm from the car park at Claggan Park.
