Conditions on a long afternoon were cold and wet, not the best for speed, but athletes made light work of it in the strong breeze to record several personal bests.
The Under-11 girls had a good start, with a first place in the 100 metres for Grace MacMaster and a fourth place for Sadie Ham in the B event.
Grace won the longer 200m event and also the long jump in a PB of 3.48m, with Sadie second in her long jump pool.
Carys Rodgers was fourth in the 800m in three minutes 16 seconds and fourth in the javelin.
The Under-11 boys were second team overall, with Ruaridh Beckett second in the 100m and recording a PB in the 200m, as well as taking first in the B pool long jump. Caoimh Bellshaw was second in the A pool with a leap of 3m 18cm.
Toby Smith ran well in the 100m in 18.11 seconds.
All of the Under-13 girls were making their first appearance in track and field and enjoyed the experience, with Jessica Bamber in third in the 100m and winning the pool B shot putt with a throw of 5.44m.
Lia Marsh was fourth in the A pool shot putt with 5.68m and fourth in the 1500m A race. Aisling Flavin was fourth in the 100m B race and also ran her first 1500m to take fourth in the B race.
Erin Starkey also ran a hard 100m and took part in the high jump.
Archie MacDonald in the Under-13 boys age group was fourth in the A pool in both 100 and 200m, and was second in the long jump with 3.01m. Maddison MacMillan in the Under-15 age group sprinted well to take third place in both 100m and 200m in 31.1s, and was also second in the long jump with 4.08m.
Maisy Gorman made a good start to track running in the 200m and was also fourth in the 1500m.
Joshua Beckett won the hammer throw with 23.3m and was second in the 200m with a PB of 25.9s, while Angus Davies was third in the 200 B race in 29.4s.
This was a good start for Lochaber and more speed and technical training will be given on training nights at Claggan Park on Thursdays from 6-7pm.

On the same weekend, two LAC athletes competed in the Scottish Schools Primary Cross Country Championships in Kirkcaldy at the weekend.
Aaron Tresidder and Isla Cant both raced well, with Isla eighth fastest out of 131 runners and Aaron joint seventh fastest out of 104.
A strong showing from the small Lochaber team.
