VAN DER MERWE - Peacefully at the Kintyre Care Home, Campbeltown, with her family by her side, on March 5, 2025, Iris Linda Van Der Merwe, in her 89th year, formerly of Dalnaspidal and South Africa, dearly beloved wife of the late Charl Van Der Merwe, much loved mum of Lolita and Charl, mother-in-law of David and loving granny of Charl, Islay and Skye. Iris’s funeral will take place on Wednesday, March 19 at 1.00 p.m. in the Campbeltown Parish Church Hall. The cortège will leave the church hall at 1.30 p.m., travelling up Longrow, Aqualibrium Avenue and round the Cross and up and down Hall Street. Anyone is welcome to attend the service in the church hall alternatively you may pay your last respects to Iris along our route. The family have requested anyone attending the funeral wear bright colours. A private cremation will be held at a later date. A retiral collection will be held in aid of the church.
