Christmas & Hogmany at the Knipoch House Hotel

A charming festive experience for Christmas and Hogmanay just outside Oban.

Festive Menus
The Knipoch House Hotel’s new festive menu offers a delightful culinary experience, perfect for celebrating the holiday season in style with family, friends or work colleagues. This three-course menu is filled with a selection of meticulously crafted dishes designed to indulge guests with seasonal flavours and warming comfort foods. This 3 course festive menu priced at just £29.95 is available lunch or dinner from November 28th to December 22nd.

 

Christmas Day Lunch
Locals are welcome to book a table on Christmas Day to enjoy a lavish five course lunch, priced at just £69 per person. Booking now is recommended.

 

Hogmanay Celebrations
Bring in the bells at Hogmanay with a traditional Scottish celebration to remember. Locals can enjoy a festive evening with a glass of Prosecco on arrival, traditional Piper, 5-course celebration dinner, DJ and ceilidh. It promises to be a night to remember, starting at 6.30pm and finishing at 1am. Courtesy minibus is provided from Oban to include the return journey.

 

Knipoch House Hotel’s approach to Christmas and Hogmanay is about creating a relaxed, memorable experience where both residents and non-residents can unwind, indulge in excellent food, and participate in seasonal fun.

German Christmas Market

 

Weekends in December - 12noon - 6pm

The Knipoch House Hotel is bringing the magic of Christmas to life with its charming Christmas Market and festive activities. The market will feature traditional stalls where guests can savour seasonal treats like mulled wine, delicious waffles, and traditional German sausages. For the little ones, there’s a dedicated station where they can decorate their own gingerbread men and enjoy a Wonka-style chocolate fountain, sure to be a highlight for kids of all ages.

 

Adding to the festive spirit, raffle tickets will be available for purchase, giving visitors the chance to win daily prizes, with all proceeds supporting a local charity. Families can capture precious memories at a photo point complete with Santa’s sleigh, creating a perfect backdrop for holiday photos. Children can also enjoy face painting and even a visit from Santa himself, adding an extra layer of joy to the experience.

 

The festivities kick off with the grand Knipoch light switch-on at 4.30pm, Saturday, November 30th. The Christmas market will then be open on the weekends of November 30th & December 1st, 7th & 8th, and 14th & 15th. These special weekends promise a heart warming start to the holiday season, filled with joy, community spirit, and festive fun for the whole family.

 

A 10 seater minibus picks up from Oban Train Station on the hour each day and returns on the half hour. The hotel car park is available for anyone travelling independently
