A new line-up of Scottish Americana music from The Hollow Mountain String Band makes its debut in Benderloch this Saturday, January 18.
“Featuring fan favourites, our most popular originals, along with a few surprises, we’ve been working hard to put together a show that is sure to warm up a cold winter’s night,” said singer and guitarist Rab Woods.
He added: “We’ve added some traditional sets for Strip the Willow and Gay Gordons to the mix, so be sure
to wear your dancing shoes!”
The band’s unique trans-Atlantic sound interprets legends such as Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Kenny Rogers, Van Morrison and Johnny Cash, as well as originals and rocking versions of traditional American and Scottish folk tunes.
"Hollow Mountain always draws the crowds to the Benderloch ’Palladium’ with the promise of foot stomping Folk Americana,” said Campbell Cameron of The Victory Hall Gigs.
“Rab’s heartfelt vocals match his splendid string tunesmithing. Added solid engine room rapport comes from Mick Ashman on bass and Michelle McAnally on drums, while balancing the whole circus is Ann Barlow with her delicious fiddle licks," he added.
Tickets are £15 and seats can be reserved by contacting Joy or Campbell Cameron at joycameron57@hotmail.com or phone 01631 720247.
The bar will be open on the night and tickets will also be available at the door.
