Mid Argyll Show has a proud heritage of home industry competitions, including flowers, baking, jams, children’s competitions, vegetables and shepherd’s crook and sticks, which were open for the public to see at this year’s events.
Overall the home industries section was a great success, with more than 350 entries in eight classes.
There was a particularly strong entry in the flower section, making a wonderful display.
For the first time the fleece competition came into the home industries marquee and although there was a disappointing entry this year, organisers hope to build on it as it will make an interesting display along with the walking sticks and crooks and the other woollen crafts.
