The final event in Arran Heritage Museum’s special event days calendar, the Tractor Show, was a resounding success with a healthy number of visitors going along to look at the machines and to soak up the atmosphere.
A range of machines, from vintage tractors which have been lovingly restored by their owners to giant workhorses which are still in daily use, were on show.
Children were able to climb on them while the adults took photographs of the children on the giant machines.
A relaxing atmosphere was provided by musicians Biff Simpson and the Biffettes and Keith Robertson who performed for an appreciative crowd.
Young and old enjoyed a barbecue and refreshments from Cafe Rosaburn which ensured everyone was well-fed and watered throughout the balmy afternoon.
Charles Currie compèred the event while museum volunteers manned popular tombola and raffle stalls and showed visitors around the museum.
DG Weir judged all the tractors and prizes were presented to category winners.
The Tractor Show marks the end of summer events at the museum which is still to play host to the Wee Mac book festival at the end of this month.
The museum will stay open every day of the week from 10am to 4.30pm and Cafe Rosaburn is also still open for meals, home-baking and daily specials.
