The group, which formed because of a shared interest in the village and its social history, will meet at Whiting Bay Hall on Sunday May 8, at 2.30pm, and everyone is welcome to attend.
A spokeswoman for the group said: ‘Our busy social media group kept us entertained during the past two years, but we all missed out on the enjoyment of meeting friends and neighbours, making new friends and getting to know those who have recently moved here. We missed seeing our regular visitors too, so when we say, ''all welcome'' we really do mean ''all''.
‘We have exciting plans for 2022 and we can’t wait to share them with you.’
The meeting will begin with a brief AGM and this will be followed by the welcome meeting where members will be talking about places in the village and sharing some memories.
The group will thereafter move to weekly Monday morning meetings with the first one starting on Monday May 16, at 10.30am.
