North Ayrshire Council has opened books of condolence following the death of Pope Francis.
Arran residents wishing to pay their respects and sign the book can do so at the council offices in Lamlash. Mainland residents can sign books at Cunninghame House in Irvine, Saltcoats Town Hall, Brooksby Medical and Resource Centre in Largs and Garrison House at Millport.
Provost Anthea Dickson said: “The passing of Pope Francis on Monday April 21 has resulted
in an outpouring of grief around the world.
“And here in North Ayrshire we are inviting people of all faiths and walks of life to pay their respects by signing a book of condolence at five sites.”
The books will remain open for signing during the usual opening hours at these locations
until Friday, May 9.
