Four charities have benefitted to the tune of £200 each thanks to Oban singers.
Representatives from The Dove Centre, Lorn Dementia Group, Oban Mountain Rescue Team and Aon Ghuth/One Voice Makaton Choir gathered at The Royal Hotel to receive their cheques from Oban Gaelic Choir, whose members organised a joint FUNDRAISING Christmas Candle Concert with nine other choirs and singing groups, held at St John’s Cathedral in December.
Arlene McLeod from Aon Ghuth said her group’s £200 was "massively appreciated".
"Our fundraising pot was dry so this is a great way to start off the New Year. We are in the process of opening up a bank account and it will go in that for travelling expenses if we get any bookings further afield or to buy resources, or to hire venues for social events.
"We’ve got a little gathering coming up soon to welcome some new members joining us and it’ll be a nice way to ease them into our wonderful family," added Arlene.
