The A82 near Glencoe is to close for four nights for resurfacing with regular amnesties during the closures.
The A82 near the Clachaig Inn will close overnight for four nights from Wednesday August 28 until 7am on Tuesday September 3, with no work taking place on Friday August 30 or Saturday August 31.
Work will be carried out between 7pm and 7am.
Outwith these hours, traffic management will be removed, however, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
BEAR Scotland said: "As a result of restricted road widths through this section of the A82, it is necessary to close the carriageway to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public.
"The A82 will therefore be closed in both directions each night between 7pm and 7am. Amnesties at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, 2am and 4am will allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site safely.
"Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained throughout the works. A diversion is also available via the A85 and A828 for those who do not wish to wait for amnesty."
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, added: “This essential work will greatly improve safety for road users. We thank road users for their patience ahead of these roadworks.”
