Carradale’s Shopper-Aide social group celebrated a very special occasion at this week’s meeting as stalwart member Mary Page turned 90.
Several ladies gathered at Drumfearne Tearoom with some of Mary’s friends for a celebratory lunch ahead of her May 10 birthday.
Mary loves flowers - so the group very fittingly gifted her a lovely new planter.
Group organiser Fiona Lavery-Jones said: “The group love to celebrate and make the most of every occasion, but this was a big one!
“We had a delicious afternoon tea and were truly spoiled with an array of delicious sandwiches and cakes.
“It was a lovely surprise for Mary. She’s a very special lady who has given so much over the years helping out in the village.
“She and her husband Geoffrey helped out on many community projects including the Carradale Antler and planting the village hall garden.
“She looks amazing We were delighted to wish her the very happiest of birthdays.”
