The Arran Churches Together foodbank, located in the small hall at Brodick Church in Knowe Road, will be open on various days over the festive season for those needing some help with food supplies.
The foodbank will also gratefully receive donations in the form of tinned goods, dried goods, children’s food, hygiene products and anything else that could lend a helping hand to those who may be struggling.
The foodbank will be open on Monday December 23 and 30 from 10am to noon and on Friday December 27 from 10am to noon
It will be closed on Wednesday December 25 and on Wednesday January 1.
There is no referral or means-testing to use the foodbank. If you require food you are welcome to take some but users are required to be considerate to others who may also need to use the foodbank.
The service is free, discreet and confidential.
Anyone wishing to donate goods by contributing to the foodbank can do so by placing items in the small hall or at the rear pews of the church whenever it is open. Cash donations, which will be used to buy food, would also be gratefully received.
