Inveraray’s Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa has scooped one of the top honours at the highly regarded Prestige Awards.
The hotel, which is part of Crerar Hotels Group, was awarded ‘Best Country Hotel’, which sister business, the Isle of Mull Hotel and Spam has won for the last two years.
Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa has been led by general manager Niall O’Shaughnessy since January last year and is regarded one of the west coast’s best and most popular hotels following a £765,000 investment to upgrade its leisure facilities in 2022, part of a company-wide multi-million-pound investment.
Scotland’s Prestige Awards was created to showcase and reward outstanding service within the hotel industry with all winners voted by the public – making the win even more special staff said.
Mr O’Shaughnessy said: “It is an honour to be shortlisted and win the title of Best Country Hotel at the Prestige Awards this year.
“I took on the role of general manager at the start of last year and I am thrilled to lead this fantastic team who continue to inspire me every day. This is an award which is a real testament to the authentic Scottish hospitality we offer to all our guests.
“It’s even more special that the award is voted for by the public, this assures us that our guests have had an exceptional time when visiting whether this is for a rejuvenating spa retreat or a coastal getaway with loved ones - or both.
"It was a fantastic evening with great company as so many of Scotland’s top hospitality businesses were there, it was an honour to be a part of it.”
Last year, the Inveraray Hotel also won the title of Best Rural Hotel of the Year and Town Hotel of the Year at the Hotels of the Year Scotland awards.
