Kilmartin Museum was joined by guests from Kilmartin Castle to celebrate the launch of Banjo Beale’s new book ‘A Place in Scotland’ celebrating beautiful Scottish interiors.
After a stroll around the Glen visiting the ancient sites, they joined artist Lizzie Rose to take part in her Forest Workshop painting oak trees using Oak Gall ink before heading up to the museum galleries for a bespoke tour of the exhibit with Kilmartin Museum Curator Sharon Webb.
Banjo was kind enough to sign copies of his book for the museum which are now available in the museum shop.
Guests on the tour included the Hebridean Baker Coinneach MacLeod and The Highland Hutter Peter MacQueen, who generously signed shop copies of their books too.
Representatives of Kilmartin Castle said: “We are honoured and proud that Kilmartin Castle was selected for the cover, from so many gorgeous Scottish properties.”
Lizzie Rose’s new exhibition, Forest, opens for preview at Kilmartin Museum on November 11 and is available on all museum opening days thereafter. Copies of Bango Beal the Hebridean Baker and Peter MacQueen’s books are all available to purchase from the Kilmartin Museum shop.
