Stagecoach tweaks bus timetables to better align with ferry times

The changes which came into effect on Monday and will continue until the end of March have been welcomed by islanders travelling as foot passengers between Brodick and Troon.

The bus routes 321, 322, 323/A and 324 all have amended timetables to better suit the MV Glen Sannox’s sailings, with waiting times reduced for many services.

Route 322, connecting Brodick ferry terminal with High Dougarie via the String and Blackwaterfoot, offers a bus arriving in Brodick at 7.53am to link with the 8.40am ferry departure.

For passengers returning to Arran later in the day, the 322 departs from the ferry terminal at 4.35pm for the 4.25pm ferry arrival or 7.25pm for the 7.15pm ferry.

Similar tweaks apply to the South island route – bus 323/A – with a departure from Brodick ferry terminal at 8.05am after the 7.45am ferry arrival, or an arrival at 7.49am for the 8.40am boat.

The North island route – bus 324 between Brodick and Lochranza via Pirnmill and Blackwaterfoot – also now offers bus services with similarly shorter waiting times for ferry sailings.

In other welcome transport news, CalMac has announced a new shuttle bus service between Troon train station and Troon ferry terminal, and from Ardrossan ferry terminal to Troon ferry terminal, to support foot passengers using the Troon-Brodick service.
