Travel was disrupted on the ferry, train and road networks in the wake of Storm Eowyn, but following an all hands on deck effort over the weekend most have returned to near normal along the west coast.
ScotRail and CalMac both cancelled all services on Friday and over 500 incidents were reported across Scottish railways following the storm.
This included over 120 trees on tracks and overhead wires which were pulled down as winds reached 100mph in certain places.
While there are many routes still closed or running amended services, the West Highland Line and the Oban to Glasgow services are back running as scheduled.
Due to the weather damage, trains will not be stopping at Dumbarton Central today (Monday January 27). For further information about disruption on the rest of the rail network, click here.
Many ferries on the CalMac Network are on yellow alert from today, and some services such as Claonaig to Lochranza, have seen adjustments as a result of the weather.
The Rest and Be Thankful has also reopened under traffic signal control after being closed on Friday as the storm reached its peak.
It reopened at 9.20pm Friday evening.
Further south in Argyll, the A82 between Luss and Alexandria saw some of the worst debris and was closed in both directions, while the road between Tangy and Bellochantuy was left covered in seaweed and marine litter.
Oban’s esplanade was also partially closed for several hours on Friday as high waves crashed over the sea wall. All of these issues have since been cleared and routes reopened.
Bin collections are also set to resume today, albeit with some exceptions. Specific details will be updated on the council’s website.
Most of the local authority’s household recycling sites will reopen too although Bogleha, Dunoon, Lingerton, Lochgilphead, Westlands on Rothesay and Blackhill in Helensburgh remain closed, although Blackhill is expected to reopen on Monday afternoon.
The vast majority of schools are also back today. Exceptions are Glenbarr Primary, which has no power, and pupuls will instead by transported to Dalintober at normal collection time, Tighnabruaich Primary School, Kilmodan Primary School, Clachan Primary School, Rhunahaorine Primary School and Gigha Primary.
