The Kintyre U3A choir brought some festive cheer to Campbeltown’s Argyll Arms Hotel on Thursday December 5, when its annual Christmas carol concert was held.
There was a large, appreciative audience who joined in with the all carols.
A raffle was held in aid of Shopper-Aide and money from that, combined with the tea and coffee money collected, raised a total of £330.
The choir’s leader, Margaret Nimmo, was delighted with the total raised, especially as it was her last concert with the choir.
After conducting for 14 years, she has decided to take a step back and let someone else enjoy leading the choir, which started off with 10 ladies and has grown to 26.
“I feel I am leaving the choir at a good time and I thank everyone for their loyalty and support over the years,” said Margaret. “I hope it will continue to grow under the new management.”
