I wonder if any of your readers could possibly help me. I am looking for relatives or anyone that may know of someone that would be connected to my dad, William McGowan Gillespie Turner.
Born in Campbeltown on November 25 1924, he moved to Glasgow and died on July 6 1975.
He was married with two children – possibly in Campbeltown – previous to meeting and marrying my mother in Glasgow.
His parents were Duncan and Sarah Turner.
I can be contacted by emailing alicemclaughlin14@gmail.com – any information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

On behalf of all the Campbeltown Grammar School Parent Council, we would like to extend our gratitude to the community for their generosity in helping us raise funds at our coffee morning held at the Campbeltown Town Hall on Saturday March 1.
Many local establishments supported our event by donating gifts and vouchers and we are extremely grateful for their generosity.
Thank you to the Co-op and Tesco for providing coffee, sugar and biscuits towards this event, and thank you to the music department from the grammar school for providing the entertainment for the morning.
A total amount of £584.05 was received which will go towards the school funds to assist the pupils in various activities and incentives for the academic year.
