Fort William Football Club celebrate end of season with annual awards ceremony
Guests travelled from as far as England to attend Fort William Football Club’s end of season awards.

The event was held at the University of the Highlands and Islands North West Highland campus.
The first award, and potentially the most important, was presented to Colin ‘Woody’ Wood, a club stalwart without whom the club would not run.
Woody has driven the team to the far reaches of the Highlands, housed many of the lads from outwith the area and is a well-known, loved and respected face within football in the Highlands.
For his service to the club and in recognition of all he does, Woody was made an official ambassador.

Players’ Player of the Year was awarded to goalkeeper Kit Fletcher in recognition of his contributions on and off the park.
Management’s Player of the Season was centre half Farquhar Macrae, while Davie Neil was crowned Most Improved Player of the season and Lewis Moran named as Young Player of the Year.
Top Goalscorer and Most Photographed player went to Martin Munro and Goal of the Season was Juan Cardona’s strike against Inverness Athletic.

Chairman Rob Coull’s said: “Special thanks to UHI North West Highland for use of its event space and An Cafaidh Mara for providing food and refreshments.
“We celebrated the past, present and future as we look forward to next season and the club’s 50th anniversary. Thanks to all the coaching team and committee who helped get the awards night set up and helped at the reserve match at Claggan Park during the day.
“The club also thanks to Richard Hastings of rh3procoaching who continues to provide weekly training at Claggan Park for children from nursery age up to primary seven.”
