As part of Lochgilphead Bowling Club’s 75th anniversary celebrations, the club is holding an open/try bowls day on May 10.
From 2pm to 4pm anyone from the age of 10 years up is invited to the bowling club at Bank Park, with children accompanied by an adult, to try bowls out.
The only equipment needed is a pair of trainers and willingness to give it a go as bowls will be provided. And for those who decide that it is a sport wirth taking up, membership is just £30 for the first year.
Snacks, tea and coffee will be provided and the bar will be open.
The 75th anniversary itself will be celebrated on Saturday May 24 and will be a full day event with seven Argyll clubs invited to send two rinks (teams of four players) to compete for winners and runners-up trophies.
The event will cost £20 per team and will include food and refreshments, with the bar being open.
