The ladies section of Lochgilphead Golf Club has been competitive since the first weekend of play, at Easter.
Following the success of the introduction to golf sessions held last summer, the ladies’ membership numbers have increased, providing some great competitive competitions, which is evident from the good results and cutting of handicaps.

March 31, Easter Trophy - Dorothy Clark, 40 points;
April 4, 9-hole eclectic rd 1 - Fiona McLeod 14 points;
April 13, April Medal - Marion Youngman nett 75;
April 21, Centenary Cup - Fiona McLeod nett 75;
April 25, Charity Cup, 9 hole eclectic rd 1 - Eilidh Flanagan 21 points
April 27, Blarbuie Cup - Eilidh Flanagan 38 points;
May 5, Coronation Foursomes - Kirsty and Eilidh Flanagan 36 Points;
May 7, 9-hole eclectic rd 2 - Kathleen Young 17 points.
“Well done to everyone on their wins, especially to one of our newest ladies, Marion Youngman, on her first win,” said a spokesperson for the club.
The ladies’ section will be hosting two more ‘taster nights’ on Tuesday May 21 and Tuesday May 28.
